As Hope Dies sprouted from the early 2000s Orange County, CA, metalcore scene that gave rise to bands like Taken, Atreyu, and even Avenged Sevenfold, and played Swedish death-metal inspired metalcore similar to bands like Undying, Prayer For Cleansing, etc. This new reissue of the band's 2004 EP, "Misanthropy," also features the four tracks from their 2001 demo.
