ASKYSOBLACK "Touch Heaven"

About this item

• Description • Pressing Info • • Philadelphia’s ASKYSOBLACK cements their identity as an anti-shoegaze alternative rock force with their debut LP, Touch Heaven. Following their acclaimed EP, Autumn in the Water, the band takes a more stripped-down approach, trading sonic variation and heaviness for a focus on melody and emotional depth. Thematically, Touch Heaven delves into the raw and intimate realms of personal loss—specifically love—and the accompanying waves of depression, grief, and heartbreak. Yet, in its musicality, the album offers listeners a chance to detach from the weight of daily life and mental struggles, creating a space for introspection and emotional release. Lyrically cohesive yet musically expansive, Touch Heaven invites individual interpretation and resonates deeply with those seeking solace in sound. This debut marks a significant evolution for ASKYSOBLACK, setting the stage for their unique voice within the alternative rock scene. TRACK LISTING: 01. On For No One 02. I Wish I Was Not 03.
