HEILUNG "Sagas" LP

About this item

HEILUNG have spent the past decade bridging the gap between modern life and ancient traditions, bringing their amplified history to major festivals, the Billboard charts and Hollywood. With Sagas, the ritual collective venture into the world of video games. The album gathers 11 recordings created by Maria Franz, Kai Uwe Faust and Christopher Juul in collaboration with Ninja Theory for Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga, revealing a cinematic, atmospheric dimension to their distinctive sound. Inspired by a 10-day journey through Iceland, the trio recorded additional material beyond the game’s soundtrack, capturing the raw power of nature. From the apocalyptic force of “Slagt” to the meditative repetition of “Laeknisgaldr,” Sagas balances primal intensity with spiritual healing. Featuring the entrancing “Seidh,” performed live at The Game Awards, the album transcends its origins to become an immersive journey into myth, nature and renewal.
