About this item
Limited pressing 7" black vinyl. Mercury Rev's tribute to Bobbie Gentry's The Delta Sweete Revisited. Side A: Sermon (feat. Margo Price) Side B: Louisiana Man (feat. Erika Wennerstrom) “Mercury Rev’s radical interpretation will alert Americana fans to Gentry’s unfairly neglected gem, now ready for a belated rediscovery.” - American Songwriter “The Delta Sweete Revisited is a layered, affectionate and often gorgeous tribute to an album that never got its due.” - Paste “The beauty of The Delta Sweete Revisited isn’t just a result of Mercury Rev applying their radiant brushstrokes to Gentry’s dust-covered songs, but in hearing the vocalists filter them through their own unique histories and personalities.” - Stereogum “The greatest album you’re never heard.” - David Fricke
