The EP brings together three mesmerizing piano tracks, improvised in a single take in his Reykjavík studio. They’re a far cry from O’Halloran’s more detailed studio productions, as you’ll hear here: each note seems to shimmer in the air as we listen, as though the key has just been hit. It was an intentional return to the spontaneity and immediacy of writing music at the piano. For O’Halloran, this process also involves synaesthesia — a mingling of visual, sensual, and sonic sensations — so each track is named after a color. Following the release of singles Red and Gold earlier this year, the final track on the EP is called Blue. Tracklist: 1. Gold 2. Red 3. Blue *Please use caution with USPS Media Mail.
