About this item
Celebrate 15 years of genre-defying groove with Life from Below, the 8th full-length album from Seattle’s Polyrhythmics. Blending funk, soul, psychedelic rock, Afrobeat, and R&B, this dynamic release was recorded live in studio and captures the band at their most raw, connected, and creatively inspired. Featuring standout tracks like “Mayo con Yayo,” “Chophouse,” and the lush, vocal-driven “Smoke & Mirrors” (featuring Adryon de León), this album marks a new chapter for the instrumental seven-piece—honoring their roots while exploring new sonic territory. Tracklist: 1. Life From Below 2. Chop House 3. Mayo con Yayo 4. Serpentine 5. Smoke & Mirrors 6. Interlube 7. Cake Lady 8. Ivy
