About this item
For the first time on any physical release, Clyde Shelton hits it out of the park with his magnum opus: Earthwalker: a deliberately well-crafted datawave album of stuttering synths, hard sludge beats, and melancholic melodies. What Is Datawave? Com Truise calls it "Mid-Fi Synthwave Slow-Motion Funk", others simply call it 'Datawave'. It's a sound that features stylistic elements of 80s synth funk, syncopated synth glitches and pitch-drifting nostalgia. Invoking imagery of a retro-futurist information age. Tracklist: 01. Earthwalker 02. Turnaround03. Untouchable04. Fibber05. Missingness06. Mrs. Badguy (feat. Crystal Cola)07. Commune08. Illium09. The Distance 150 pressed. SVR29.
